{"id":551,"date":"2024-04-05T15:58:38","date_gmt":"2024-04-05T15:58:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nnpp.net.ng\/register\/?p=551"},"modified":"2024-04-05T16:01:18","modified_gmt":"2024-04-05T16:01:18","slug":"nnpp-poised-to-wrestle-power-from-apc-pdp-as-ogun-holds-state-congress-elects-international-solicitor-aina-as-new-party-chairman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nnpp.net.ng\/register\/nnpp-poised-to-wrestle-power-from-apc-pdp-as-ogun-holds-state-congress-elects-international-solicitor-aina-as-new-party-chairman\/","title":{"rendered":"NNPP Poised To Wrestle Power From APC, PDP As Ogun Holds State Congress, Elects International Solicitor, Aina As New Party Chairman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The New Nigeria People\u2019s Party (NNPP) has expressed its determination to wrestle power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) coming 2027.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As the Ogun state chapter of the party on Thursday held its state Congress in Abeokuta, the state capital, where international Solicitor and former Senatorial candidate for Ogun West, Barrister John Aina elected as the new party Chairman.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Other elected executive members are Prince Ibrahim Adekunle as Deputy Chairman, Alhaja Sakirat Idris Arowolo as Secretary, Hon (Comrade) Olayemi Omokehinde Olowu as Public Relations Officer (PRO), Sefiu Musa as Treasurer and Comrade Oluwatoyin Afuye as Financial Secretary.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-552 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/nnpp.net.ng\/register\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/NNPP-Ogun.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"348\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nnpp.net.ng\/register\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/NNPP-Ogun.jpeg 600w, https:\/\/nnpp.net.ng\/register\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/NNPP-Ogun-300x174.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Others are Comrade Oyegbemi Kehinde as Liason Officer, El-Hark Abdullahi Adeniyi as Deputy Treasurer, Alfa Sheriffdeen as Deputy PRO, Hon Gboga Moses as Ex-officio 1, Samuel Abiodun as Welfare Officer, Hon Akingbala Semiu, Hon Folusho Adekunle and Hon Atele Jeremiah as Chairman Ogun Central, Ogun East and Ogun West respectively.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The NNPP in Ogun state had been under a caretaker management following the expulsion of its former Chairman, Sunday Olaposi Oginni for anti party activities and issue bothering on fraudulent practices.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"stream-item stream-item-in-post stream-item-inline-post aligncenter\">\n<p>The party had earlier in the week successfully held its wards and local governments congresses.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In attendance are the governorship candidate of the NNPP in Ogun state in the last general elections, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo and his entourage, the South West Publicity Secretary of the party, Hon Kilamuwaye Badmus and other party leaders in the state at the Party Secretariat, Car wash, Adatan, Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Speaking after his election as Chairman, Barrister Aina promised that his election will mark a new beginning for the party in Ogun state.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He affirmed the readiness of the NNPP the NNPP has become a formidable party to contend with in any contest both the state and nationwide.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Aina boasted that the era of dominating the political sphere by both the APC and the PDP will become the things of past as the party is waxing stronger day by day in Ogun state and nationwide in general.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Read also: <\/strong>NNPP, Aina, ADP<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The New Nigeria People\u2019s Party (NNPP) has expressed its determination to wrestle power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) coming 2027. &nbsp;
